From electrical systems to large-scale port infrastructure, your work will be essential to keeping our port moving.\nThe role is based on a 39-hour working week, with standard hours of Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm and Friday 7:30am-3:00pm, alongside participation in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support, where call-outs attract a minimum 4-hour payment, with additional hours paid at overtime rates.\nKey Responsibilities\nDeliver a proactive maintenance service to support smooth port operations\nCarry out maintenance on a variety of assets, including:Fire alarm and emergency lighting systems\nMobile harbour cranes and port equipment\nCommercial and industrial buildings\nStreet lighting and high mast systems\n\nDiagnose faults and carry out repairs using electrical schematics\nMaintain and repair motors, drives, PLCs and control systems\nProvide breakdown cover and support operational requirements, including out-of-hours work\nWork at height and in environments close to water\nAbout You\nEssential:\nQualified to 18th Edition IEE Regulations\nCity & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering (or working towards)\n2391 or 2394/2395 testing & inspection (or working towards)\nStrong fault-finding skills using electrical drawings\nKnowledge of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems\nFull UK driving licence\nFlexible approach, including on-call and out-of-hours work\nConfident working at height and around water\nStrong team player with a proactive attitude\nWe offer a competitive salary, contributory pension from day one (Starting at 3% employee contribution with 5% company match), private healthcare, access to our Employee Assistance Program, wide range of discounts and cash back with high street and online retailers.
