You will help keep assigned projects on scope, on schedule, and on budget, and be a dependable point of contact between clients, contractors, sub-consultants, and our internal design teams. Your work will directly reflect the quality and vision of our company standards.\nThis is a growth role with real responsibility: you will manage approximately $0.5M-$1.5M in annual billings, contribute to proposals and business development, and help shape the standards and processes our project teams work by. We rely on junior project managers who work well independently and collaboratively, communicate clearly, and are committed to excellence in every aspect of their work.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAssist in managing scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects, including coordination with external design sub-consultants and internal design teams; manage approximately $0.5M-$1.5M in annual billings\nInterpret and contribute to Basis of Design documents, design criteria documents, reports, and other technical written documents\nMaintain clear communication between clients, contractors, and senior project managers on all active projects\nConduct quality control reviews of drawings, specifications, and narratives under the guidance of senior staff, and identify and escalate any oversights for review and correction\nSupport business development, including project interviews, technical writing for proposals, and fee proposals, under the direction of senior staff\nAssist with contract coordination for sub-consultants and support the approval and distribution process\nMaintain project schedules and calendars with key design deadlines, and keep project records, job site visit logs, and timelines current\nEnsure RFI and submittal response times meet or exceed company standards, and keep records of all communications and work items discussed with contractors\nMaintain up-to-date documentation and records of applicable standards and codes, and support the development of and adherence to company-wide standards and processes\nSubmit your own timesheets on time and help monitor team compliance\nRepresent the company in marketing and networking activities, including industry events and conferences, as requested\nWhat you Bring to the Role\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred\nMinimum of 5-10 years of post-degree experience working for an MEP engineering firm or an AE firm\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license or Registered Architect (AIA)\nProficient in managing workflow for MEP/FP designers and engineers in the AEC industry\nKnowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, and of applying WBS and EVM frameworks\nFamiliarity with applying PMI methodologies\nProficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project\nExceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills; able to edit design specifications and respond to RFIs using information from project documents\nStrong work ethic; able to work independently/self-motivated, as well as in a collaborative team setting, highly organized, and detail oriented\nStrong project management, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task\nStrong time management with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and duties\nHigh levels of confidentiality, integrity, and dependability\nU.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency\nWillingness to travel up to 20% for site visits and client meetings\nNice to have:PMI PMP certification, or actively pursuing it.\nWhy Above Group\nWe are a faith-based AEC firm built around a simple idea: continuously improving the built environment for the glory of God.
