We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.\nWe are currently hiring for a full-time Facilities Manager for our location in downtown Albuquerque.\nThe Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all physical\nplant equipment and building systems including capital projects, landscaping, security, fire system,\njanitorial, electrical, plumbing and HVAC system. This position also provides oversight of the\nmaintenance and custodial personnel. Oversees all vehicle fleet operations including driver safety,\ndriver training, vehicle maintenance, and driver adherence to policy. This position is responsible\nfor overseeing the completion of all approved facilities capital needs projects.\nThis position is part of an after-hours emergency team that responds to emergencies such as fire, burglary, significant vandalism, electrical outage, weather, etc.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nMonitor day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department including the work, activities,\nand scheduling of the custodial and maintenance team.\nProvide coaching and professional development to custodial and maintenance team including\nconducting regular performance reviews and team meetings.\nOversee facilities and fleet operations and maintenance to ensure all physical aspects of the\nAHCH facilities and fleet are functionally correctly and maintained with high quality.\nIn collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer, verify that all buildings and grounds meet\nall health and safety standards and comply with relevant codes and regulations.\nSource, negotiate, and manage contracts with third-party vendors for services such as\ncleaning, security, landscaping, and maintenance.\nDevelop and manage budgets for facility operations, projects, and maintenance, ensuring\ncost-effectiveness and tracking of expenditures.\nPlan and oversee renovations, installations, and refurbishments, from minor upgrades to\nmajor construction projects.\nDevelop long-term strategies for facility improvement, energy efficiency, and the physical\nspace's overall usability and sustainability.\nServe as a key member, advisor, leader, and facilitator of campus vigilance and safety efforts\nto ensure clients, team members, partners, and visitors are safe while on campus under the\ndirect oversight and collaboration of the Chief Operations Officer.\nEffectively communicate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and upper management.\nServe on a rotated scheduled for after hours response to after-hours emergencies (fire,\nburglar, electrical outage, weather, etc.)\nProactively identify issues, make quick decisions, and address unexpected challenges.\nDevelop and deliver facilities and safety-related presentations to AHCH team members,\nvolunteers, contractors, and other AHCH affiliates.\nWill attend Manager/Coordinators meetings.\nWill serve on AHCH Safety Committee with potential for facilitation.\nAssist with special projects as needed.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nAbility to thrive in a complex non-profit healthcare setting.\nAbility to work with peers to lead change, high performance, and innovation.\nMust have ability to effectively lead capital projects and meet contractual deadlines.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite with specific emphasis on the use of Excel\nAbility to work in an integrated manner with all levels of organizational staff.\nPlumbing, electrical, and general building repair and maintenance experience.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\n5 years of experience in facilities maintenance.\n2 years of leadership/supervision of a maintenance and/or custodial team.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociates Degree in General Contracting.\nFederal procurement experience.\nKnowledge of construction principles.\nHVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or other trade certification.\nExperience with general duty clause/OSHA compliance.\nKnowledge of local/State building codes\nAll benefits begin the month after hire:\nLow cost medical, vision, and dental insurance with health club membership\nLife insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment fully paid for by organization\nLong Term Disability fully paid for by organization\nPaid Time Off - 24 days in first year of employment\nCatastrophic Sick Time accrual\n7 Paid holidays\nHealth Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts\n401k with employer match\nStudent loan forgiveness eligible\nWe're an equal opportunity employer.
