You are possibility.\nJob Summary\n• Global and Local Custody operations handling.The effective handling and settlement of all security transactions on behalf of the bank’s clients and keeping all records up to date in a manner that will reduce the incidence of risk to the bank.\nEnsuring IT security and best practice is maintained and day to day smooth running of the securities system.\n• Primary contact with clients ensuring that the quality of service provided is of international standard and work with the supervisor/manager to improve standards to level expected by Bank clients.\nJob Description\nDevelopment and implement efficient digital and communication campaigns\n Operations & Risk Management:\nProcess client trade and corporate actions instructions on the securities system.\nEnsure settlement of trades and corporate actions on due date.\nMaintenance and recording of all transactions in a timely manner.\nEnsuring that client receives error free custody reporting from the system.\nReconciliation of client entitlements in respect of the relevant corporate actions not limited to cash dividends, bonus and rights issues.\nEnsure prompt collection of income entitlements.\nEnsure prompt collection of cash dividend paid by companies.\nEnsure proper record keeping/capture of all corporate events.\nSecurities and cash reconciliation exercise where applicable on a daily basis.\nSecurities system dashboard management to ensure that all daily deliverables are met.\nLiaise with Global markets for FX rates booking and confirmation in respect of clients trades and funds repatriation (where needed).\nLiaise with bank commercial operations for cash processing.\nFiling of all documents used in the course of work.\nClient Services:\nRespond to clients on all custody related operational matters.\nEnsure proper follow up with clients until resolution of any issues.\nPro-actively take the lead with clients to avoid any settlement delays or failure where possible.\nProvide any market information to the client as and when requested (per SLA)\nUnderstanding and operating in line with the business’s risk management framework.\nParticipate actively in product risk review exercise and provide input where necessary.\nMitigating operational risk and diligent risk event monitoring and reporting.\nMandatory Risk and Control objective\n Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Absa Policies and Policy Standards.
