This is a senior individual contributor role focused on hands-on product work, with a path to build and lead a team as the area grows. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, the Principal Product Manager will operate with significant autonomy, serving as a senior technical leader across product, engineering, and design.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nSet the strategy and roadmap for your assigned product area, with a clear point of view on where it's headed and how it ties back to the business.\nLead hands-on product work including discovery, specifications, and product decision-making.\nDeliver on committed deadlines, working closely with engineering to maintain quality standards.\nInstrument shipped products, track metrics, and own post-launch results.\nTranslate customer insights into product decisions, applying sound judgment on prioritization and execution.\nMaintain an intuitive user experience in close partnership with design.\nOwn post-launch product outcomes, including go-to-market narrative and enablement materials for Sales, Customer Experience, and Product Marketing teams.\nBuild strong cross-functional working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.\nPresent product strategy, roadmap updates, and performance insights to executive leadership.\nParticipate in a highly compliant environment, assisting to maintain company controls and security within your role.\nAssist in maintaining applicable organizational security and compliance controls within your department and role.\nWHAT YOU'LL BRING\nAt least 10 years in product management, including significant time as a senior, lead, or principal PM who owned a product line end to end.\nA demonstrated track record of setting clear product direction, aligning teams, driving measurable business outcomes, and delivering complex products on time.\nStrong data fluency, with the ability to instrument products, interpret metrics, and own results.\nProven experience shipping AI or LLM-powered products, with fluency in AI tools across discovery, prototyping, and analysis, and a demonstrated ability to translate proprietary data assets into trusted product value.\nEnterprise B2B SaaS experience, a strong sense for user experience, and a reputation as a strong cross-functional collaborator across engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.\nDomain experience in HR tech, leave and absence, benefits, or compliance is a plus.\nExperience in a high-growth scaling environment is a plus.\nA strategic thinker who connects product decisions to measurable business outcomes.\nHighly autonomous, with the ability to own a product area end-to-end with minimal direction.\nA data-driven decision maker who instruments products and owns results after launch.\nA customer-obsessed practitioner with deep instincts for user experience and product quality.\nAn AI-forward practitioner who integrates AI tools into daily workflows and product development.\nA clear and confident communicator who presents effectively to executive leadership.\nResults-oriented, with a bias toward shipping and learning.\nWhy join us\nAt AbsenceSoft, we LEAD with our values:\nLead with Innovation - We create meaningful change through intelligence, focus and passion.We embrace curiosity, data, and insight to shape the future of our industry.
