You’ll lead Absher’s self-perform operations on multiple scopes, managing planning, performance, and profitability. This role is deeply rooted in the field where you’ll be walking jobs, pressure-testing plans, mentoring teams, and driving execution where it matters most.\nThis is a builder’s role for someone who thrives on accountability, sees complexity as a challenge worth solving, and understands that high-performing teams are built through discipline, clarity, and collaboration.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead project execution to ensure successful delivery, safety, quality, and financial performance of self-perform scopes\nOversee planning, scheduling, change management, safety integration, quality control, and closeout\nDevelop and communicate execution strategies with field leaders to ensure clarity on scope, productivity goals, sequencing, and constraints\nDrive risk planning, identify high-risk activities early, and embed safety into crew planning and daily readiness\nMonitor and resolve field issues proactively, maintaining alignment between estimate, plan, and execution\nTrack labor productivity and costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to protect schedule and margin\nSupervise, mentor, and develop team members to build the next generation of self-perform leaders\nServe as the key interface between self-perform teams, GC operations, and project stakeholders, ensuring alignment and scope clarity\nWhy You’ll Be Successful\nYou’re not a spectator, you’re an operator. You lead with influence more than authority, thrive on solving complex challenges, and believe in building high-performing teams that win together.\nWhat You Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent field experience)\n10+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with self-perform operations\nProven ability to manage complex scopes, labor productivity, and cost performance\nStrong relationship-building skills with owners, architects, field teams, and trade partners\nCommitment to a safety-first culture and disciplined execution in the field\nProficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, scheduling tools) a plus\nSafety certifications (OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR) preferred\nNote: Absher is a Federal Contractor. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen.\nSalary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.\nPay Transparency\n$120,000—$150,000 USD\nBackground Check & Pre-Employment Screening\nAll offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
