We are looking for an experienced Senior Superintendent to provide leadership across complex construction projects and help develop the next generation of field leaders at Absher.\nThis role is responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, profitability, team development, and client relationships. Depending on project needs, a Senior Superintendent may lead a major project directly, provide oversight across multiple projects, or supervise and mentor other Superintendents.\nThe right person for this role brings deep construction knowledge, strong leadership instincts, and the ability to step back from day-to-day execution and help project teams see what is coming next.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead Field Operations\nProvide senior-level oversight and leadership for field operations on assigned projects.\n\nEnsure project teams are successfully executing against safety, quality, schedule, logistics, and profitability expectations.\n\nWork closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and the General Superintendent to identify risks and resolve issues before they impact project performance.\n\nMonitor project progress and provide guidance when schedule, staffing, coordination, quality, or cost challenges arise.\n\nEnsure site logistics, inspections, testing, reporting, and quality control activities are properly planned and executed.\n\nHold project teams accountable for established field operations processes and expectations.\n\nDevelop and Lead People\nLead, mentor, and develop Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, foremen, and other operations personnel.\n\nProvide clear expectations, coaching, feedback, and accountability to field leaders.\n\nParticipate in performance reviews and employee development planning.\n\nIdentify development opportunities and help prepare field employees for increased responsibility.\n\nSupport recruiting and selection of strong operations talent.\n\nHelp ensure field staffing aligns with project needs and employee capabilities.\n\nSupport Project Planning and Preconstruction\nParticipate in preconstruction and project pursuit efforts as needed.\n\nPerform constructability reviews and provide field input related to sequencing, logistics, staffing, cost, scheduling, and execution strategy.\n\nAssist project teams with developing effective site logistics and pre-planning approaches.\n\nBring lessons learned and field experience into early project decision-making.\n\nBuild Strong Relationships\nRepresent Absher professionally with owners, architects, inspectors, trade partners, consultants, and other project stakeholders.\n\nBuild strong relationships with current, past, and prospective clients and industry partners.\n\nHelp manage client expectations and support positive long-term relationships.\n\nParticipate in business development and project procurement activities when appropriate.\n\nChampion Safety and Quality\nDemonstrate a visible commitment to a safe and injury-free work environment.\n\nHold teams accountable for maintaining strong safety practices and addressing concerns immediately.\n\nEnsure projects follow established Quality Control programs and inspection requirements.\n\nPromote a culture where quality, safety, and accountability are owned by the entire project team.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe are looking for someone who has successfully led complex construction projects and is ready to influence people and projects at a broader level.\nStrong candidates will bring:\n10+ years of construction industry experience.\n\nAt least 5 years of construction leadership experience.\n\nSignificant experience leading field operations on complex commercial construction projects.\n\nStrong knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics, scheduling, quality control, safety, and trade coordination.\n\nDemonstrated experience leading and developing Superintendents and other field personnel.\n\nAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and other construction documents.\n\nStrong understanding of how field decisions affect schedule, cost, risk, quality, and profitability.\n\nProven ability to identify problems early and lead teams toward practical solutions.\n\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills across field teams, project management, clients, designers, inspectors, and trade partners.\n\nExperience working with union craft labor and an understanding of applicable labor agreements.\n\nOSHA 30 certification.\n\nFirst Aid/CPR certification.\n\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and construction management assignments.\n\nWork Environment\nThis position works primarily in active construction environments and requires regular movement throughout jobsites.\nThe role may include:\nExtended periods of standing and walking.\n\nNavigating stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, and unfinished surfaces.\n\nExposure to construction noise, dust, equipment, and varying weather conditions.\n\nRegular use of required personal protective equipment.\n\nOccasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 pounds.\n\nTravel between project sites and Absher offices as business needs midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.\nPay Transparency\n$170,000—$200,000 USD\nBackground Check & Pre-Employment Screening\nAll offers of
