You’ll serve as the on-site leader responsible for planning, sequencing, and overseeing day-to-day field operations on projects valued at $40M+. Your leadership will drive safety, quality, schedule performance, and strong relationships with federal partners, design teams, trade contractors, and our internal project teams.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout\nSupervise, train, and mentor field staff, craft labor, and subcontractors\nSet clear expectations around safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism\nEnsure work is executed in compliance with contract requirements, federal regulations, and project standards\nPartner closely with Project Managers, owners, inspectors, and design teams\nManage CPM schedules, pull plans, and detailed look-ahead schedules\nCoordinate inspections, testing, reporting, and documentation required for federal projects\nMaintain site security, access controls, and compliance with DoD project protocols\nMonitor labor, material usage, and field productivity to support project financial goals\nProactively identify risks and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or quality\nWhy You’ll Be Successful\nYou bring strong field leadership, sound judgment, and deep experience managing complex commercial and federal construction projects. You understand the structure, documentation, and accountability required on DoD work and know how to lead teams in highly regulated environments. You communicate clearly, hold high standards, and take pride in delivering projects the right way.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMinimum of 8 years of Superintendent experience on commercial construction projects\nProven experience leading projects valued at $40M+\nAt least 2 years of experience on NAVFAC and/or USACE projects strongly preferred\nStrong understanding of federal contracting requirements, QA/QC, and safety standards EM-385-1-1\nExperience working in secure and active federal facilities\nIn-depth knowledge of craft functions and union agreements\nProficiency with Procore and Primavera P6 (preferred)\nOSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain)\nDemonstrated commitment to safety, inclusion, and developing future leaders\nStrong organizational and documentation skills\nNote: Absher is a Federal Contractor.
