  • Role : Legal Support Officer

    Location : Abu Dhabi

    Role Purpose:

    The Legal Support Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Legal teams. The role ensures effective coordination with external law firms, supports case management activities, monitors legal systems and records, and oversees the review and processing of legal invoices in coordination with the Finance and Control Department (FCD).

    Key Accountabilities of the role

  • Provide professional and administrative support to the Legal and teams in managing cases whenever required.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external law firms to facilitate case handling and documentation.
  • Support the preparation, review, and renewal of engagement agreements with external law firms.
  • Monitor and maintain updates in legal case management systems (e.g., E-Case), including hearing schedules, case status, and document uploads.
  • Prepare reports highlighting case progress, updates, and key findings.
  • Review, verify, and track law firms’ invoices related to collection and litigation cases.
  • Ensure invoices are aligned with agreed terms and support documentation.
  • Coordinate with the Finance and Control Department (FCD) for timely processing and payment.
  • Prepare periodic and adhoc reports on legal and collection cases for management review.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of legal cases, correspondence, and supporting documents.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) for Collection Unit activities.
  • Monitor assigned control points and ensure compliance with internal policies and frameworks.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:

  • 2-3 years of experience,
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Banks’s products, policies & procedures.
  • Computer skills - use of applications especially Microsoft office.
  • Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical mind, good communication and self-motivated, details oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Independence of thought and initiative.
