Our growing company is seeking an Extruder / LaminatorOperator for 2nd shift (6 PM-6 AM) Monday-Wednesday/Thursday in the Schaumburg, IL location.\nAt ABX we offer:\n$1000 hiring bonus for new hires\nA flexible career plan, schedule, and compensation structure that fits your lifestyle and goals \nExcellent training programs and growth opportunities \nA collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture \nCompetitive salary and benefits package\nFlex Pay\nExcellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, 401k with match, quarterly bonus opportunity, and much more!\nResponsibilities\nMust be able to correctly setup and operate all extrusion lines in the department \nMust be able to check and maintain product quality, width, gauge, treat, clarity, and roll appearance for all machines running\nCheck operating conditions of all machines to ensure quality, production, and safe operation of equipment\nAssist with, or make, screen and die changes \nMeet all product quality, safety and production standards\nEnsure all extruders or laminators are running at maximum output\nEnsure equipment is being operated safely\nTrain and provide leadership to extrusion assistants\nUnderstand and complete shift reports, production forms, process conditions, pounds of production and waste, etc.\nFollow AIB guidelines\nDetect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor immediately\nMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety instructions\nParticipate in ongoing CI and Focus improvement processes\nMust be able to understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions\nPerform miscellaneous duties as required by supervision\nQualifications & Experience\nPossess a working knowledge of extrusion lines or any other equipment related to the department\nMust be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide when working with set production figures\nMust be able to weigh in pounds and ounces, measure in feet and inches and measure film gauge in thousandths of an inch\nMinimum of 2-years working on extrusion or lamination line\nWorking knowledge of different polyethylene resins and different grades and how they behave under different extrusion condition\nThis position has operations that require muscular coordination, proper lifting techniques and required lifting up to 35 pounds, hoist is available for use.\nOccasionally required to stoop, kneel, and bend\nMust be able to use measuring tape\nMust be able to use metric measurement tape\nThe noise level in the working environment is usually loud (80-90 decibels)\nThe employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes and or airborne particles\nHazards include but not limited to: mobile equipment, powered hand trucks, winders and edge guides, haul-off and winder nip rollers, molten resin and hot dies, high voltage equipment (treaters), and slitting blades and cut-off knives\nABX Innovative Packaging Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
