This role ensures timely ordering, accurate documentation, and effective communication with vendors and internal departments to maintain uninterrupted production operations\nResponsibilities:\nCreate, review, and process purchase orders for materials, supplies, and services.\nMonitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock.\nCommunicate with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, delivery schedules, and order status.\nTrack and expedite orders to meet production deadlines.\nResolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, or deliveries.\nMaintain accurate purchasing records, vendor files, and system data.\nAssist with vendor setup, performance tracking, and basic supplier evaluations.\nCoordinate with accounts payable to resolve invoice and payment issues.\nSupport cost-saving initiatives and sourcing projects as assigned.\nEnsure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.\nPrepare reports on purchasing activity, open orders, and supplier performance.\nAssist with audits, inventory counts, and continuous improvement efforts.\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.\nExperience:\n1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or administrative experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nAttention to detail and accuracy.\nEffective communication and vendor relationship skills.\nBasic negotiation and problem-solving abilities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).\nExperience with ERP or MRP systems preferred.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPhysical & Work Environment\nPrimarily office-based within a manufacturing facility.\nMay require occasional visits to the production floor or warehouse.\nAbility to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nPurchase order accuracy.\nOn-time delivery performance.\nInventory stockout reduction.\nVendor response time and issue resolution.\n“ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
