This role ensures maintenance activities are effectively planned, documented, tracked, and executed in compliance with cGMP, FDA, and company quality requirements.\nThe ideal candidate serves as the liaison between Engineering, Facilities, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality, and external contractors to maximize equipment uptime, improve asset reliability, and maintain regulatory compliance.\nResponsibilities\nCMMS Administration\nManage and maintain the CMMS database, ensuring asset records, equipment hierarchies, preventive maintenance plans, calibration schedules, spare parts, and work orders remain accurate and current.\nCreate, revise, and retire preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and job plans.\nEnsure maintenance records meet GMP documentation standards and data integrity requirements.\nGenerate maintenance performance reports, KPIs, and metrics from the CMMS.\nSupport CMMS system upgrades, enhancements, validation activities, and user training.\nMaintain equipment master data, bill of materials (BOMs), and asset criticality classifications.\nMaintenance Planning & Scheduling\nDevelop and maintain weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.\nPlan labor, materials, permits, tooling, and contractor requirements for maintenance activities.\nCoordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.\nPrioritize maintenance work orders based on asset criticality, operational impact, and compliance requirements.\nMonitor work order backlog and recommend resource allocation strategies.\nFacilitate daily and weekly maintenance planning meetings.\nGMP & Regulatory Compliance\nEnsure maintenance activities comply with cGMP, FDA, ICH, OSHA, and company quality requirements.\nSupport internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.\nMaintain documentation supporting equipment qualification and validated state requirements.\nAssist with CAPA investigations related to equipment and facility issues.\nSupport change controls, deviations, and quality investigations impacting maintenance programs.\nReliability & Continuous Improvement\nAnalyze equipment history and maintenance trends to identify recurring failures and reliability opportunities.\nSupport predictive maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.\nDevelop KPIs including:\nPM compliance\nSchedule compliance\nWork order closure rates\nEquipment uptime\nMean Time Between Failure (MTBF)\nMean Time To Repair (MTTR)\nMaintenance backlog\nRecommend process improvements to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.\nSupport asset lifecycle management activities.\nInventory & Spare Parts Management\nCoordinate and maintain critical spare parts inventories.\nWork with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure materials availability for scheduled work.\nTrack vendor performance and service contracts.\nSupport inventory accuracy and cycle count activities.\nCross-Functional Support\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Validation, Facilities, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Metrology teams.\nAssist with commissioning, qualification, and startup of new equipment and facilities.\nSupport facility shutdown planning and execution.\nCoordinate external service providers and contractors during maintenance activities.\nQualifications\nEducation\nAssociate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.\nBachelor’s degree preferred.\nExperience\nMinimum 3-5 years of maintenance planning, CMMS administration, facilities, manufacturing, or engineering experience.\nExperience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or CDMO manufacturing environments preferred.\nExperience working in GMP-regulated facilities required.\nExperience with maintenance planning and scheduling methodologies preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nProficiency with CMMS platforms such as:\nMaximo\neMaint\nMaintenance Connection\nSAP PM\nBlue Mountain RAM\nFiix\nStrong Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, and Outlook skills.\nUnderstanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and utility systems including:\nHVAC\nChillers\nBoilers\nCompressed air systems\nWater systems\nManufacturing process equipment\nPackaging equipment\nLaboratory
