In this role, you’ll work with a modern AWS-native stack, collaborate closely with developers and product teams, and influence architectural decisions that directly impact performance, reliability, and security across our platforms. You’ll contribute to building thoughtful, well-architected infrastructure using IaC, automation, and DevOps best practices, while having room to experiment, bring forward new ideas, and continuously refine how we deliver and operate.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDesign, implement, and maintain secure and fault tolerant infrastructure and cloud software environments while applying fundamental principles of the AWS Well Architected Framework\nManage the immutable infrastructure via CDK written in TypeScript\nOperate the development tools, such as IDEs, test environments, code repositories, artifact hosting, test runners, and automated release processes to enable developers\nOversee the deployment of servers, storage, databases, and other required infrastructure\nHelp design, oversee, and test the disaster recovery and business continuity plans\nParticipate on an agile team and work in the full development lifecycle\nPerform analysis, design, development, unit testing, code reviews and deployment of cloud infrastructure\nParticipate in an on-call rotation\nMake pragmatic design and architectural decisions with security in mind\nInvestigate and pinpoint defects, deficiencies, or service outages\nRequired qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience\nBackground in Software Development or Software Engineering\n7-11yrs of professional hands-on experience building and managing AWS infrastructure using IaC (either using the AWS CDK using TypeScript, Terraform, or CloudFormation)\nExperience with scripting languages - Python (Boto3), Bash (AWS CLI), PowerShell, TypeScript (nice to have)\nExperience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows\nDeep experience with observability platforms (New Relic, CloudWatch, Athena)\nExperience containerizing workloads and working with Docker environments\nKnowledge of Serverless architecture patterns and best practices\nExperience with and understanding of Linux and Windows environments\nDeep network architecture knowledge including VPN, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect\nExperience with RDS, EC2, Fargate, S3, Glacier, Lambdas, ECS, EKS, Secrets, and CloudFront\nExperience with project management and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence\nRequired skills and attributes:\nAbility to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment\nAbility to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize effectively\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients\nHighly motivated and goal oriented; proactive in one’s own education and career progression; volunteers for and shows initiative on both internal and external projects and tasks\nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nHow you work:\nUnderstand the IT vision and work towards realizing it\nFind ways to apply new departmental ideas into your daily work\nBe a self-starter who works to improve personal efficiency\nProvide feedback and suggest improvements for IT systems\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams\nDeliver high-quality work with limited oversight\nAttempt to self-resolve challenges before escalating\nPreferred Education and Experience\nAWS certifications are a plus but not required\nExperience with Azure or Google Cloud is a plus but not required\nExperience with GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy\nSoftware Development experience using C#, TypeScript, Python, Java is a big plus\nExperience with Ruby or Golang is a plus\nWhat working at ACA offers:\nWe offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
