This role is responsible for inventory control, material distribution, warehouse organization, fleet readiness, and ensuring technicians have the parts and equipment needed to deliver exceptional service to our customers.\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains high standards of accuracy and safety, and enjoys creating efficient processes that support operational success.\nKey Responsibilities\nWarehouse Operations\nManage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, organizing, and distributing inventory.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.\nEstablish and follow warehouse procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.\nConduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.\nMonitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of stock items.\nInventory Management\nReceive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.\nTrack inventory movement and maintain accurate records within inventory management systems.\nInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.\nManage parts, equipment, tools, and materials used by HVAC service and installation teams.\nAssist with vendor returns, warranty claims, and damaged goods processing.\nTechnician & Fleet Support\nPrepare materials and equipment for daily service and installation schedules.\nCoordinate distribution of parts and supplies to field technicians.\nAssist with maintaining technician truck stock levels.\nSupport fleet readiness by monitoring equipment and tool availability.\nEnsure proper storage and maintenance of company assets.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow warehouse safety policies and procedures.\nOperate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.\nEnsure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.\nConduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n3+ years of warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nExperience with inventory management systems and basic computer applications.\nAbility to lift and move up to 50 pounds.\nValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.\nPreferred\nExperience in HVAC, plumbing, construction, or home services industries.\nForklift certification.\nExperience with purchasing, inventory forecasting, and warehouse process improvement.\nFamiliarity with ERP, inventory management, or field service software.\nSkills & Competencies\nInventory control and accuracy\nProblem-solving and critical thinking\nAttention to detail\nProcess improvement mindset\nEffective communication\nCustomer service orientation\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively\nWorking Conditions\nWarehouse environment with regular lifting, carrying, bending, and standing.\nOccasional work outdoors and exposure to varying weather conditions.\nMay require occasional overtime based on business needs and seasonal demand.\nWhy Academy Air?\nAt Academy Air, we are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers while creating a positive and rewarding environment for our employees.
