The Company’s racino, Fairmount Park - Casino & Racing, features live racing, electronic gaming machines, live table games, food and beverage amenities, and pari-mutuel betting.\nJob Description:\nJob Description:\nThe Processing Technician is responsible for the secure, accurate, and timely handling of large amounts of cash and financial instruments. This role involves processing currency collections, replenishing machines, performing daily vault accountability, and ensuring all ledgers are balanced. The position requires a high degree of dependability and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work in a regulated, team-oriented environment.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nProcess and verify currency counts from collections, ATM replenishments, and redemption machines.\nPerform data entry of cash receipts, including proper coding and filing, to maintain accurate records.\nConduct daily and monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and cash on hand.\nManage vault accountability by maintaining accurate inventory counts and levels.\nResearch and reconcile any unidentified cash or variances found during processing.\nOperate cash logistics systems and other computer-assisted currency processing equipment.\nPackage and unpack currency, including strapping and sealing bags, in preparation for transport or vault storage.\nPerform basic accounting and counting skills to ensure accuracy.\nReport all daily variances or discrepancies to a Processing Supervisor and Director of Processing.\nCommunicate professionally with internal departments and field staff to resolve processing issues.\nAssist with other duties and projects as assigned to support department operations. \nQUALIFICATIONS\nExperience: 2-3 years of prior cash-handling experience is preferred, ideally from a banking, casino, or other financial industry background.\nComputer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel is required for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.\nCommunication: Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with colleagues and customers.\nInstructions: Mustbe able to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions precisely.\nAnalytical Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities are required to manage priorities and workflow.\nTeamwork: Must be able to work independently while also functioning effectively as a member of a team.\nAdaptability: A versatile and enthusiastic approach is necessary for working with constantly changing priorities.\nAge: Must be at least 21 years of age.\nLicensing: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Terminal Handler's License from the Illinois Gaming Board or other relevant state authority. \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT\nStanding/Sitting: Frequentlyrequired to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.\nManual Dexterity: Continually required to use hands and fingers for tasks like operating a keyboard and counting money.\nPhysical Strength: Continually required to lift and push weights up to 40 pounds.\nMovement: Regularlyrequired to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and balance.\nWork Environment: The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.\nStress: Must be able to handle pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy. \nAnalyze financial data and calculate figures and amounts\nBase Pay Range :\n$22.00 per hour\nThis range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position.
