Academy of Arts & Technology is part of ACCEL Schools, an established network of public charter schools serving K-12 students throughout the United States since 2014.\nAbout the Opportunity:\nDemonstrate an understanding, respectful and receptive attitude toward the behavioral needs of students of various age groups\nProvide expert knowledge of techniques needed to successfully complete effective Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), function -based interventions, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)\nMeet with students whose behavior warrants intervention and develop individualized behavior tracking and intervention programs.\nServe on IEP Teams and develop relationship with students requiring intervention\nWork with staff on issues such as crisis intervention, learning and collaboration issues, and factors that can affect development and implementation of interventions.\nServe as a consultant to administrators, teachers, and parents others in finding positive solutions for behavior modification\nMonitors student attendance while developing Absence Intervention Plans, working to achieve school-wide daily attendance.\nPromotes school culture through daily practices, positive attitude and collaboration with students, families and staff.\nMaintain timely and accurate records and files consistent with school policies and procedures\nParticipates in other duties such as school events, trainings, morning duty, dismissal duty, and lunch duty, as needed.\nAbout You:\nBachelor’s degree in education, social work, health, or another related field preferred.\nIntervention Specialist license preferred\nA minimum of three years’ experience working with “at-risk” or “behaviorally challenged” children a teacher, social worker, tutor or mentor, preferably in a multi-cultural setting.\nTrack record of building trust and positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues\nAbility to maintain composure and job performance under changing or stressful conditions\nStrong written and verbal communication skills that reflect professionalism and tact at all times\nProficiency in Microsoft Office products\nAbility to pass federal, state, and local background checks\nAbout Us\n“We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” - Ron Packard, CEO & Founder\nACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students.
