Come grow with us. \nPlease note - this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually. \nEligibility: Open to residents of Ohio \n About the Opportunity \nThe Intervention Specialist supports the educational and behavioral goals of all students with a focus on students with an Individualized Education Program. \nWork cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students, assisting in classroom intervention strategies, modifying general education curricular as necessary, and assisting the student with regular class assignments \nConduct diagnostic assessments for instruction \nFacilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals and objectives \nRelentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture as well as state specific achievement goals \nUtilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction \nIntegrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues \nServe as case manager for a designated set of students \nCommunicate regularly with stakeholders regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of the students \nWillingness to take on cross-team assignments and projects \nPerform other duties as assigned \n About You \nCurrent Ohio Intervention Specialist License (preferred) \nKnowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards \nHigh level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring \nHigh quality written and verbal communication skills \nHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products \nExcellent organization and time management skills \nAbility to work independently and contribute to a team \nAbility to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI) \nExperience working in a multi-cultural setting (preferred) \n About Us \n“We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” - Ron Packard, CEO & Founder \nACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students.
