You’ll work with a collaborative team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support that empowers each learner’s journey.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnrollment\nSupport new GC enrollment through recruitment and engagement efforts\nAssist with the development of Personalized Learning Plans for GCs\nRetention\nServe as an advisor for assigned GCs by maintaining communication with learners and their support team\nMonitor attendance, academic progress, and overall wellness to ensure consistent engagement and achievement\nAcademics\nPlan and deliver content-area instruction in both individual and small group settings\nMonitor GC academic progress toward course completion and mastery using formative and summative assessments\nAnalyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes\nProvide remediation and enrichment opportunities to address learning gaps and accelerate success\nParticipate in professional development, data meetings, and school/community events\nAdvocacy\nCollaborate with the GC support team to develop personalized learning pathways, transition strategies, and incentive plans\nRepresent the academy in community events and contribute to academy-wide initiatives\nPerform other responsibilities as needed to support the academy’s mission\nWhat We’re Looking For\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree required, Master's preferred\nLicensure: South Carolina 9-12 secondary certification in Science or Biology(REQUIRED)\nExperience: 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred)\nSkills: Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills\nPassion: A deep commitment to helping at-risk youth succeed academically and personally\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working in non-traditional or at-risk youth settings\nBilingual (Spanish preferred)\nFamiliarity with behavior intervention strategies and alternative education models\nExperience with competency-based learning, instructional coaching, or project-based education\nStrong comfort with educational technology tools and platforms\nWhy Join Us?\nBeing part of Acceleration Academies means joining a team that’s dedicated to transforming student outcomes.
