The role manages end-to-end procurement activities for castings, machined components, bought-out parts, raw materials, and other direct material categories while ensuring quality, delivery, cost competitiveness, and supplier performance. The position works closely with Engineering, Quality, Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Global Category teams to support business growth, localization initiatives, and new product development projects.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nStrategic Sourcing & Category Management\nManage sourcing activities for direct material categories including castings, machined parts, fabricated components, and bought-out items.\nExecute RFQs, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations, and sourcing decisions.\nIdentify and onboard new suppliers to support capacity expansion, localization, and risk mitigation.\nDevelop and implement category and supplier strategies aligned with business objectives.\nSupplier Development & Performance Management\nBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term supply continuity.\nMonitor supplier performance for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Responsiveness, and Sustainability.\nLead supplier performance review meetings and drive corrective actions.\nSupport supplier development, capacity assessment, and risk management initiatives.\nNew Product Development (NPD) & Localization\nSupport NPD projects through early supplier involvement, technical-commercial evaluations, and sourcing recommendations.\nIdentify localization opportunities to improve competitiveness and reduce supply chain risks.\nCoordinate supplier qualification and requalification activities with Quality and Engineering teams.\nOperational Procurement\nManage Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, contract agreements, and procurement transactions within SAP/S4HANA.\nEnsure timely material availability to support production requirements and customer commitments.\nTrack supplier deliveries and proactively resolve shortages, delays, and supply risks.\nSupport inventory optimization and working capital improvement initiatives.\nCost Management & Value Creation\nDrive annual cost reduction, productivity, and value engineering initiatives.\nNegotiate commercial terms, payment terms, tooling costs, and long-term agreements.\nDeliver measurable savings and cost avoidance opportunities.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Planning, Logistics, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.\nSupport resolution of supplier quality issues and delivery escalations.\nParticipate in sourcing reviews, project meetings, and supply risk assessments.\nEnsure compliance with procurement policies, ToA requirements, and ethical sourcing practices.\nBackground\n 6-10 years of experience in Direct Material Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.\nStrong experience in procurement of castings, machined components, fabricated parts, and industrial bought-out components.\nProven track record in supplier development, supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and sourcing project execution.\nExperience supporting New Product Development (NPD), localization, and supplier qualification programs.\nHands-on experience with SAP/S4HANA procurement processes.\nEducational Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.\nKey Competencies\nStrategic Sourcing\nDirect Material Procurement\nSupplier Development\nCommercial Negotiation\nCost Analysis & Value Engineering\nSupply Risk Management\nCategory Management\nSAP Procurement Processes\nStakeholder Management\nProblem Solving & Continuous Improvement\nYour benefits:\nFlexible Work Hours\nHybrid working model (Mon & Fri WFH)\nMedical Insurance\nParental leave Policy\nOn-site crèche facility\nAnnual Health Check-up\nEmployee Assistance Program\nWe look forward to receiving your application.
