Whether partnering with IATA on industry-wide initiatives or enabling digital transformation to simplify airline processes, Accelya drives the airline industry forward and proudly puts control back in the hands of airlines so they can move further, faster.\nAs an Engineer II - Software Development at Accelya, you will independently deliver software features and service solutions, building scalable, reliable, and well-tested systems that support Accelya's 200+ airline customers worldwide.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and deliver features supporting airline ticketing workflows, including issuance, voids, refunds, exchanges, and ancillary documents.\nBuild and enhance cloud-native services and data pipelines on AWS for transaction processing and industry settlement reporting.\nContribute to the modernization of legacy systems by transforming them into cloud-native architectures while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and feature parity through rigorous testing.\nTroubleshoot complex production issues end-to-end and lead root cause analysis with clear, evidence-based findings.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools for code generation, investigation, solution design, code reviews, and test creation, while rigorously validating outputs.\nRequired Experience & Skills\n 3+ years (Mid-level) or 6+ years (Senior-level) of professional software engineering experience.\nHands-on experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS, including services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and serverless/event-driven architectures.\nPractical knowledge of AI and LLM-based development tools, with demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants effectively in software development.\nStrong expertise in C#/.NET for developing and maintaining production-grade services and APIs.\nSolid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.\nExperience with automated testing (unit, integration, and regression testing) and CI/CD pipelines.\nUnderstanding of secure coding practices and handling sensitive data, including payment card and personal information.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nWillingness to work US shift hours.\nPreferred Experience & Skills\nWorking knowledge of C++ and/or Node.js/TypeScript.\nExperience in the airline, travel, payments, or financial transaction domains.\nFamiliarity with airline industry standards and settlement processes, including IATA BSP, ARC, ATPCO, and IATA NDC.\nExperience with XML/XSD-based integrations and SOAP or REST APIs.\nExperience modernizing legacy applications or migrating workloads to the cloud.\nFamiliarity with GitLab CI/CD, Jira, and Confluence.\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to work on business-critical systems that are central to global airline operations.\nExposure to a genuine cloud modernization journey with meaningful architectural ownership.\nA collaborative, AI-first engineering culture that embraces modern tools and best practices.\nCareer growth through mentorship, deep industry expertise, and clearly defined progression opportunities.\nAbout Accelya\nAccelya is a leading global software provider serving the airline industry, powering more than 200 airlines through its open and modular software platform.
