This is a senior, hands-on role for an engineer who can design, build, review, and troubleshoot platform-grade systems while also providing technical direction to the teams that depend on them.\nYou will own the shared services, libraries, and cloud-native foundations that allow delivery teams to move quickly without compromising scalability, reliability, or long-term maintainability. Beyond writing code, you will drive architecture discussions, raise engineering standards, and mentor engineers across the Cargo platform.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nPlatform & Shared Services\nDesign and build shared platform services used across Cargo engineering teams.\nDevelop common libraries, frameworks, and runtime components that are modular, well-documented, and easy to consume.\nTake ownership of complex technical problems end-to-end, from design through production.\nCloud & Infrastructure Foundations\nBuild and evolve cloud-native foundations, including deployment patterns, runtime configuration, and observability.\nContribute to infrastructure-as-code practices and environment standardization.\nImprove reliability, performance, and operational consistency across services.\nArchitecture & Technical Execution\nParticipate in and help drive technical design and architecture discussions.\nTranslate architectural patterns into concrete platform implementations that enforce agreed boundaries, contracts, and standards.\nEvaluate technical trade-offs and recommend appropriate solutions.\nIdentify and resolve cross-cutting technical debt, and flag scalability, reliability, security, and performance risks early.\nHands-On Engineering & Quality\nOwn and evolve critical platform components in production.\nWrite clean, testable, maintainable, and production-ready code.\nPerform deep code reviews on platform-facing changes and establish engineering best practices.\nTroubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.\nSupport CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, logging, and overall operational readiness.\n\nRequired Experience\n8–12 years of overall hands-on software engineering experience.\nC++ - 6+ Years\n.NET: 4+ years of hands-on experience.\n.NET Core: 2+ years of experience.\nCloud: 5+ years of experience with AWS or another major cloud platform (AWS preferred).\nRDBMS: 8+ years of experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or equivalent.\nReact / JavaScript Framework: 5+ years of experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework.\nAIDLC – 1+ Years(Must)\nAI Tool – GitHub Copilot / Claude Code / Any equivalent AI Dev Tool(1+ years)\nNote: Candidates should have genuine hands-on depth in the areas above rather than surface-level exposure; this is a senior technical role and experience levels will not be relaxed.\n\nMust-Have Technical Skills\nStrong expertise in backend or platform engineering using modern enterprise stacks (C++, .NET / .NET Core).\nDeep experience with cloud-native systems on AWS or an equivalent platform.\nExperience building shared services or internal platforms consumed by multiple teams.\nStrong understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture.\nBuilding and consuming RESTful APIs and distributed services.\nDatabase design, query optimization, indexing, transactions, and performance tuning.\nFront-end development using React or another modern JavaScript framework.\nStrong engineering judgment and system-level thinking.\nWorking effectively with Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and other engineering teams.\nMicroservices architecture.\nAWS services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch, etc.\nDocker and Kubernetes.\nKafka or other event-streaming technologies.\nRedis or distributed caching.\nInfrastructure as Code such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.\nCI/CD tooling and automated testing / TDD practices.\nObservability tooling and reliability engineering practices.\nExposure to large-scale, high-volume, or enterprise SaaS/platform organizations.\n\nEducation / Certifications\nBE /
