As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various critical business systems. The professional collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and promptly address any disruptions, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of business processes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues.
- Document and communicate findings and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
- Assist junior team members in understanding system functionalities and troubleshooting techniques.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Splunk.
- Strong knowledge of log analysis and event correlation using Splunk.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application and system issues.
- Ability to create and maintain dashboards and alerts for proactive monitoring.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation to enhance support processes.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and network components related to application support.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Splunk.
- This position is based at our Mumbai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
