THE WORK

Join our team as an Ab Initio Data Engineer, where you will design, develop, and implement scalable data integration solutions that support critical business operations. You will work independently while collaborating with business, architecture, and technology teams to build reliable, high-performance data pipelines and ensure data quality across enterprise environments.

As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to technical discussions, solve complex data challenges, and help drive innovation through robust data engineering practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Ab Initio.
• Build reusable workflows for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and optimization.
• Develop and support Continuous Flow processes in production environments.
• Configure and manage Co>Operating System, including plans, environments, and scheduling.
• Implement and maintain data quality controls using Data Quality Environment (DQE).
• Deploy data solutions into production environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Optimize complex SQL queries and data processing workflows.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.
• Participate in data migration and modernization initiatives, applying cloud architecture and engineering best practices.
• Design and implement processes that support data governance, compliance, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide guidance on data quality rules, data compliance policies, and operational best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience developing solutions with Ab Initio.
• Proven experience working with Continuous Flow in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Co>Operating System and Data Quality Environment (DQE).
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL/ELT solutions.
• Advanced SQL skills, including query tuning and performance optimization.
• Experience with Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.
• Strong understanding of data pipeline development and production support.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the banking, financial services, payments, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of ISO 20022, SPEI, or other financial messaging standards.
• Experience with Ab Initio Metadata Hub.
• Experience integrating Ab Initio with Oracle GoldenGate.
• Knowledge of BANXICO regulations and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of Data Architecture principles.
• Experience with AI & Data Processes.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices and development lifecycle methodologies.
• Advanced experience in large-scale data pipeline development.
