This role involves hands-on development within modern, cloud-based architectures and close collaboration with major banking clients.\nRequired Skills & Experience\nMinimum 2 years’ hands on experience implementingICON IPF or similar payments framework within banking environment\n\nLead the design, development, and implementation of microservices-based applications using Java (v17 onwards) , Spring Boot, and related frameworks.\n\nProvide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in architecture, coding standards, performance, security, and maintainability.\n\nStrong experience working in AWS cloud environments\n\nSolid experience with Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging\n\n5-10 Years as a Java engineer\n\nSome hands on experience of operating within payment solution within banking environments\n\nStrong understanding of JMS, JSON, XML, Spring JPA, transaction management (JTA) and RESTful APIs.\n\nProficiency in working with Oracle and MongoDB.\n\nHands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), with the ability to promote quality engineering practices across the development lifecycle.\n\nFamiliarity with Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Docker, Kubernetes, Observability tools like (Grafana, Dynatrace, Tivoli) and CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins.\n\nProven experience working closely with major banking clients\n\nKnowledge of ISO 20022 payments, including payment types and schemes\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders , work closely with product owners, architects, tech designers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders in Agile Scrum teams to deliver high-quality solutions\n\nMentor junior and mid-level engineers, perform code reviews, and support continuous improvement across the engineering team.\n\nHighly Desirable Skills & Experience\nExperience with Reactive Java--Akka.\n\nExposure to production support and release management, including supporting solutions through the path to live, deployment activities, hypercare, and post-production issue resolution.\n\nDoes this appeal to you?
