This position requires designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud-based systems and applications through infrastructure such as code and automation scripting, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong scripting capabilities, is hyper-focused on customer needs, enthusiastic, a self-starter, and dedicated to the mission.\nWhat you'll do:\nDesign and implement secure cloud-based systems and applications, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines\nBuild, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud-native (IAC) applications in AWS environments\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation\nCreate and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell to streamline operations and deployments\nEnsure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, including NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and FedRAMP\nCollaborate with cyber security teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle Implement and maintain security controls, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security\nAutomate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications and services\nWork with a variety of cloud native tools to add capabilities and secure the platform\nTroubleshoot complex technical issues across all layers of the technology stack\nGoals & Objectives:\nDesign and implement robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure\nEstablish and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines that incorporate security best practices\nReduce deployment time and increase deployment frequency through automation\n Improve system reliability, availability, and security through infrastructure as code\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of DevSecOps practices\nMaintain comprehensive system documentation to ensure efficient knowledge sharing\nStay current with emerging cloud technologies and security best practices\nContribute to the continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and security posture\nHere's what you need:\n3 years of experience in DevOps engineering or cloud platform engineering\n3 years of experience with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) or CentOS administration\n3 years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar) and CLI\n3 years of experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines\n3 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g.: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)\n2 years of experience troubleshooting DNS, VPN, HTTPS, or networking configurations\n2 years of experience with Bash, Python, or other scripting and automation technologies\nDoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+, CISSP, CASP, etc.) or DoD 8140 equivalent \nBonus points if you have:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree\nExperience implementing security controls in cloud environments\nDeep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, EBS, ALB, RDS, S3, EKS, ECR, etc.)\nStrong Linux system administration skills, particularly with RHEL/CentOS\nExperience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes\nAWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty)\nExpertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)\nExperience with containerization orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS)\nExperience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban\nExperience with National Security systems and Air-Gapped Environments\nUnderstanding of network architecture: VPC design, hybrid connectivity, security groups, load balancing\nExperience with security hardening and compliance implementation in cloud environments\nKnowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting system implementation\nProfessional Competencies\nExcellent communication skills in both written and oral formats\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines\nStrong customer service orientation\nAbility to interface effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders\nAbility to execute autonomously and take ownership of assigned responsibilities\nSecurity Clearance:\nActive Top-Secret Clearance, preferred with SCI eligibility.
