You will work with product, operations, compliance, and technology teams to define requirements for mainframe-backed and enterprise solutions, covering accounts, mutual funds, GICs, and registered plans.\nKey Responsibilities\nElicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and process reviews\nWrite BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mapping documents\nDefine requirements for retail product capabilities such as account opening, KYC, transactions, fees, statements, and tax reporting\nAnalyze impacts on upstream and downstream systems, including mainframe batch and online processing, file interfaces, and APIs\nPerform gap analysis and impact assessments for regulatory and product changes\nPartner with Compliance and Risk to embed regulatory requirements into solution design\nReview test strategy and test cases, and lead or support UAT and go-live readiness\nManage requirement changes and maintain traceability across the delivery lifecycle\nSupport defect triage, production issue analysis, and post-implementation reviews\nThis role will require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.\nRequired Skills and Experience\n[5-8+] years as a Functional BA or Business Analyst in Canadian retail banking and/or retail investments\nWorking knowledge of retail products: chequing and savings, GICs, mutual funds, self-directed investing, and registered accounts (RRSP, TFSA, RESP, FHSA, RRIF, LIRA)\nFamiliarity with Canadian regulatory and compliance topics: KYC and suitability, CRM2 fee and performance reporting, FINTRAC (AML/ATF), PIPEDA, CIRO and CSA requirements\nStrong skills in Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and/or Waterfall delivery\nProficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation\nExperience with Jira, Confluence, and process modelling tools (BPMN, UML, Visio)\nStrong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills\nBachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline.\nPreferred\nExperience at a major Canadian bank (Schedule I) or a Canadian wealth/investment firm\nExposure to mainframe-based core banking or investment platforms (batch cycles, COBOL applications, file-based integrations)\nKnowledge of Fundserv, order processing, trade settlement, and fund accounting flows\nExperience with data migration, platform modernization, or vendor platform integration\nCBAP, PMI-PBA, or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) / Investment Funds in Canada (IFC)\nFamiliarity with OSFI guidelines (e.g., B-13, E-21) and operational risk and control frameworks\nCompensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,\nrole, skill set, and level of experience.
