You will join the T&D Substations team within the Generation and Networks Unit, working on control and protection engineering for HV/MV electrical substations.\nThe HV and MV Substation Control and Protection Engineer will be responsible for the design, review, and calculation of control, protection, and auxiliary systems for substation projects. \n Key Responsibilities\nPrepare control and protection engineering documentation for HV/MV substations, including single-line diagrams, detailed schematics, cabinet layouts, material lists, and signal and cable lists.\n\nReview control, protection, and auxiliary services engineering for HV/MV electrical substations.\n\nDraft and review technical specifications and terms of reference for the procurement of main substation equipment.\n\nPerform electrical calculations related to control and protection systems (e.g. voltage and current transformers, LV conductors).\n\nDesign and calculate auxiliary services systems for HV/MV substations.\n\nSupport control and protection system design activities throughout the engineering phase.\n\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Technical Engineering with an electrical specialization.\n\nAt least 3 years of experience in control and protection engineering for HV/MV electrical substations.\n\nKnowledge of Spanish electrical regulations is a plus.\n\nAdvanced user-level proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.\n\nKnowledge of utility control and protection standards and IEC 61850 is a plus.\n\nExperience with EPLAN, protection design and relay settings, and/or electrical network modeling tools (DigSilent, ETAP, CAPE, or similar) is valued.\n\nKnowledge of substation communication systems is an advantage.\n\nFluent in Portuguese & English; Spanish is a plus.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously in multidisciplinary environments.\n\nGood organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality.\n\nAbout Accenture\nAccenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance citizen services-creating tangible value at speed and scale.
