Java Technical Architect

We are looking for ExperiencedJava Technical Architect to join Cloud First group within Accenture Technology Mauritius.

What responsibilities will you have?

Design and DevelopJavaApplications:

• Architect, design, and develop robust and scalable Java applications using the Spring framework.

• Utilize best practices in software development to ensure high code quality, performance, and maintainability.

Spring Framework Expertise:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.

• Leverage Spring features to implement various design patterns and effectively manage dependencies.

Database Integration:

• Design and implement database schemas and queries using technologies like Hibernate or JPA for seamless integration with Java applications.

API Development:

• Develop RESTful APIs using Spring MVC to facilitate communication between different software systems and components.

Unit Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Write unit tests using JUnit or similar testing frameworks to ensure code reliability and maintainability.

• Collaborate with QA teams to conduct thorough testing and identify and resolve defects.

Code Reviews and Collaboration:

• Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of Spring Java developers.

Performance Optimization:

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Java applications, ensuring optimal performance under high load conditions.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security best practices to protect against common security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design specifications, and user guides.

Continuous Learning and Innovation:

• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the development team.

Project Management and Planning:

• Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and tracking of deliverables to ensure timely and successful project completion.

What academic qualifications do you need?

- Bachelor’ in Computer Science / Software Engineer / Information Systems and/or Masters’ in Information Technology / Computer Science
