The role requires applying comprehensive business and functional insights to design and implement thorough testing strategies. Throughout the day, the lead oversees the application of testing methodologies and quality processes, ensuring that key performance metrics are established and monitored to evaluate test execution and defect management effectively. Collaboration and strategic oversight are central to driving continuous improvement and delivering reliable software solutions.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nDrive the end-to-end software quality assurance lifecycle within an Agile environment, from test strategy and planning through execution and reporting\nDesign, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites across UI, API, data, and integration layers (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber, Robot Framework, PyTest)\nDevelop and maintain test automation for Java/Spring Boot services and REST APIs, including regression, integration, and end-to-end tests\nContribute to Java development (feature development, bug fixing, code reviews), working closely with engineers on Spring Boot microservices, when required.\nDesign test strategies, test plans, and functional use cases based on business and technical requirements, ensuring full coverage of critical HR and analytics use cases.\nCollaborate with product owners, business analysts, data engineers, and developers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios\nWork with data and integration components including Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and DVP, validating data flows, transformations, and interfaces.\nImplement and/or enhance AI-driven and intelligent test solutions (e.g. smart test selection, self-healing tests, ML-based test analytics) where applicable.\nEnsure high-quality documentation of test strategies, test cases, test data, and test results, and contribute to technical documentation where needed\nProactively identify quality risks, defects, and process improvements, and drive their resolution with the team\nProfessional & Technical Skills:\n5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including:\nStrong Java development skills, ideally with Spring Boot (microservices, REST APIs)\nExperience developing code using Python would be plus point.\nManual and automated testing across unit, integration, system, and end-to-end functional testing\nTest automation frameworks and web testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright\nAPI testing and integration testing\n5+ years of experience in software testing, including:\nSolid experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g. JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber/BDD, Robot Framework, PyTest, or similar)\nExperience with data-centric and integration testing, ideally involving Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), DVP, and REST APIs\nFamiliarity with AI-driven or intelligent test automation solutions (e.g. ML-based test selection, self-healing locators, test analytics) is a strong plus\nStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery practices.\nHands-on experience with:\nVersion control: Azure Gitlab\nCI/CD: Azure Gitlab CI/CD and UBS Deploy (or similar tool).\nDefect tracking and test management: Gitlab, Squash (or similar tools)\nAbility to understand business requirements and translate them into test strategies, test plans, and functional use cases\nExcellent documentation skills and attention to detail.\nProactive, self-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of quality topics across the lifecycle\nStrong communication and collaboration skills in a global, cross-functional team\nUnderstanding of the HR domain is an advantage\nAdditional Information:\n- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Automated Testing.\n- This position is based at our Pune Kharadi office and 3 days WFO every week is mandatory.\n- A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education\nAbout Accenture\nAccenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance citizen services-creating tangible value at speed and scale.
