The role translates product and business needs into maintainable technical designs, guides implementation decisions, reviews complex solutions, and helps engineering teams resolve cross-system risks and technical issues.\nKey responsibilities\nDefine and evolve application, service, integration, and platform architecture for assigned capabilities.\nTranslate product requirements and operational constraints into scalable, secure, supportable technical designs.\nProvide technical direction across front-end, back-end, full-stack, integration, quality, cloud, and platform work.\nReview designs, code, pull requests, implementation plans, and technical documentation for quality and architectural alignment.\nTroubleshoot complex issues spanning user interfaces, APIs, services, databases, messaging, authentication, external systems, and cloud environments.\nIdentify architectural, security, operational, performance, and technical-debt risks and provide clear recommendations.\nCoach engineers and help establish reusable engineering, quality, observability, and delivery practices.\n\nCore capabilities\nStrong architecture and technical troubleshooting capability in enterprise software environments.\nExperience with modern web applications, REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, databases, and cloud platforms.\nWorking knowledge of CI/CD, source control, release management, application security, monitoring, and telemetry.\nAbility to operate independently on complex or ambiguous technical problems and coordinate multiple contributors.\nStrong communication with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.\n\nQualifications\n2+ years of relevant hands-on experience in software engineering, solution architecture, application architecture, or a related technical role. Strong technical depth and ownership of complex design decisions matter more than tenure.\nCollege degree, diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Development, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.\nDemonstrated ability to design solutions across services, APIs, integrations, data, and cloud, and explain trade-offs in security, scalability, reliability, supportability, and performance.
