You'll work at the intersection of technology strategy and hands-on delivery, drawing on Accenture's global network, deep client relationships and technology partnerships to solve problems that genuinely matter.\nWhat You'll Do\nArchitecture Leadership & Ownership\nTake responsibility for areas of architecture for complex, enterprise-scale programmes - from target-state definition through transition architecture to delivery oversight.\nDefine and drive architecture decisions (build/buy/reuse), articulating trade-offs, risks and dependencies clearly to technical and business stakeholders.\nLead architecture design reviews and governance forums, ensuring standards are applied consistently across all workstreams.\nProduce and maintain architecture blueprints, reference architectures, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) that serve as the definitive technical record for the programme.\nDetermine approaches, methods and procedures on new assignments, making decisions that will be implemented by the team\nClient & Stakeholder Engagement\nAct as the primary technical interface for client stakeholders - translating business objectives into architecturally sound, commercially viable solutions.\nFacilitate architecture workshops, design sessions and executive briefings; build credibility with senior client and internal stakeholders through deep technical authority and clear communication.\nSupport the technology strategy and roadmap for the engagement, coordinating with delivery leads, engineering partners and third-party vendors to maintain alignment.\nProvide input into decisions on platform selection, integration patterns, cloud infrastructure and security architecture.\nTeam Leadership & Capability Development\nLead and mentor a team of technical leads and senior engineers - responsible for the quality of their outputs and their professional development.\nProvide technical conscience for the engagement: setting and upholding engineering standards, code quality, and architecture hygiene.\nSupport delivery teams in translating architectural designs into implementable solutions, bridging the gap between intent and execution.\nContribute to practice development: growing Accenture's architecture capability, supporting hiring, training and continuous development\nWhat We're Looking For\nCore Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent; significant experience in lieu of formal qualification will be considered.\nDeep commercial experience in technical or solution architecture roles, with a track record of end-to-end ownership on complex, multi-workstream programmes.\nProven ability to lead architecture across modern engineering solutions - with deep hands-on expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).\nStrong knowledge of integration patterns, distributed system design, data architecture and security architecture principles.\nExperience operating in a client-facing advisory capacity - comfortable presenting to senior audiences\nDemonstrated people leadership: mentoring team members, leading design reviews, and developing team capability.\nActive practitioner of AI-enabled development tooling - able to demonstrate tangible impact on delivery velocity, quality or design quality\nFamiliar with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and modern delivery practices (DevOps, CI/CD, Agile/SAFe).\nHighly Desirable (at least one of):\nAI & Emerging Technology - experience in:\nArchitecting and governing AI-enabled solutions, including LLM integrations, agentic workflows, GenAI-powered features and AI-assisted delivery practices.\nEmbedding AI tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and AI-enabled CI/CD into the engineering practices of the teams you work with.\nEvaluating emerging technologies and bring forward considered recommendations on adoption, sequencing and risk.\nContributing to Accenture's internal architecture community, sharing patterns, reference architectures and lessons learned across the practice.\nMobile Architecture - experience in:\nArchitecting and governing mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms, including native and cross-platform approaches.\nDefining mobile architecture patterns, design standards and technical documentation for delivery teams.\nOptimising mobile applications for performance, responsiveness and user experience, leveraging platform-specific capabilities.\nIntegrating mobile solutions with back-end services, RESTful APIs and enterprise systems.\nCertifications:\nCloud architecture certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)\nAI Certification (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI)\nWhat Sets You Apart\nWe're looking for architects who lead with conviction - who can hold a room of senior engineers and executive stakeholders alike, defend a design decision under scrutiny, and bring a team with them.
