The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive C++ and Python programming skills to design, develop, and optimize high-performance networking solutions for mission-critical environments.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDevelop custom software solutions using C++ and Python\nDesign and implement scalable networking features that meet performance and reliability requirements\nDebug complex protocol processing systems using specialized tools\nOptimize existing code bases to improve performance, memory utilization, and overall system efficiency\nAnalyze network protocols and develop algorithms for efficient packet processing and routing\nConduct code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments\nDocument software architecture, APIs, and system behaviors for knowledge sharing and maintenance\nParticipate in design discussions and architecture planning sessions for new networking features\nImplement automated testing frameworks to validate protocol conformance and system reliability\nMonitor system performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization\nMentor junior engineers on protocol processing techniques and control plane architecture\nResearch emerging networking technologies and protocols to inform future development efforts\nCreate and maintain technical documentation for complex systems and protocols\nWhat you’ll need:\nBachelor’s degree and 14 years of experience with software engineering19 years of experience in lieu of degree\n\nExperience developing or working with software in a LINUX environment\nExperience with C++ and Java programming languages\nExperience with the following scripting languages, including Shell, JavaScript, Bash, or Python\nBonus Points if you have:\nExperience in network programming, including socket development or IP based applications\nExperience with Git Exposure to Docker\nClearance:\nNeed an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance\nAs required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia.
