This role involves maintaining payroll records, handling labor law compliance, managing payroll deductions, and providing employee support regarding payroll inquiries. If you are dedicated, hardworking and have a passion for helping others, ACCESS is the place for you!\nPosition Duties & Responsibilities\nProcess semi-monthly employee payroll, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, deductions, and benefits.\nMaintain payroll records, ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations.\nEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including wage garnishments, tax filings, and reporting.\nProcess deductions such as benefits, retirement contributions, wage garnishments, and other payroll adjustments.\nCoordinate with HR and benefits administrators to manage employee enrollments, terminations, and payroll changes related to benefits.\nMaintain and update payroll software, ensuring proper system configuration.\nWork with HR and Finance teams to improve payroll processes and efficiency.\nPosition Requirements\nBelief in ACCESS’ mission to provide food, warmth, and shelter.\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or comparable experience in a related field.\n2+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.\nKnowledge and understanding of basic business and accounting practices\nExcellent communication and project management skills with strong attention to detail; ability to work independently and in teams.\nKnowledge of non-profit organizations including state & federal laws governing that status\nUnderstanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefits deductions.\nAbility to set priorities and perform a variety of complex and broad work assignments.\nProficiency in MS Office\nValid Oregon Driver’s license with an acceptable record under ACCESS’ insurance policies.\nEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement\n“ACCESS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
