The 59.6m x 32m vessel features a 400-tonne crane, helideck and accommodation for 50 workers. Beverley is central to the offshore intake structure for major desalination projects.\nAbout Opportunity\nAs Barge Master, you will hold full accountability for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of a non-self-propelled jack-up barge. You will implement the vessel's Safety Management System, coordinate marine interfaces with project teams and third parties, and ensure crew, equipment and emergency systems remain mission-ready. You will act as the primary vessel-based point of contact for marine matters with ACCIONA, the client and service providers, holding overriding authority under the SMS to make decisions necessary for the safety of life, the vessel and the environment.\nKey accountabilities for the position will be:\nHold ultimate responsibility for crew and vessel safety\n\nImplement and maintain the vessel's SMS and environmental policy\n\nApprove risk assessments and enforce permit-to-work processes\n\nLead inductions, drills and crew competency checks\n\nCommand mooring, unmooring and safe port operations\n\nDirect emergency response, musters and lifesaving equipment\n\nMaintain SMS records and report to shore management\n\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nRelevant high-risk work licences when required (e.g., rigging/dogging, scaffolding, electrical) under State/Territory WHS laws.\nJack-up barge experience: 2-3 campaigns in Assistant Barge Master (or equivalent) roles on similar units.\nVessel SMS (RAV-BEV-SMS-000), including Safe Operating Procedures (towing, mooring, jacking, emergency response).\nSTCW Basic Safety Training: PSSR, PST, FPFF\nGMDSS (A3); ECDIS endorsement (if fitted)\nConstruction Induction Card (White Card)\nAbility to obtain successful Fit for Work employment medical and National Crime Check\nAt ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
