ACCIONA Energía is governed by the most demanding environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport the design, engineering, and construction of renewable energy facilities by reviewing civil and structural engineering deliverables, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.\nCoordinate with engineering consultants and contractors to resolve technical issues, manage RFIs, and ensure compliance with project requirements.\nDevelop and maintain preliminary civil design criteria and specifications for roads, foundations, geotechnical investigations, drainage, hydrology, O&M buildings, solar tracker foundations, and other civil infrastructure.\nPerform periodic site visits to monitor construction quality, safety, engineering compliance, and progress while supporting QA/QC activities.\nSupport procurement activities by reviewing technical evaluations, contractor proposals, equipment submittals, and scopes of work for civil construction packages.\nAssist with project estimating, cost forecasting, market analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating lessons learned into future project designs.\nPrepare technical reports, project documentation, KPI metrics, and engineering updates to support project execution and provide civil engineering expertise to Operations, Business Development, and other internal stakeholders.\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required.\nEIT certification preferred; ability to obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure within one year is preferred.\nMinimum from 2-4 years of experience in civil engineering; experience with utility-scale wind, solar, or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects is highly desirable.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD; experience with civil engineering software such as ArcGIS, AutoTURN, hydraulic modeling, FEM analysis, or RSMeans is a plus.\nWorking knowledge of applicable engineering standards and codes, including ASCE, AASHTO, ASTM, ACI, AISC, and AWS.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.\nDemonstrated commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.\nAbility to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.\nValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.\nSpanish language proficiency is a plus.\nPay & Benefits:\nBase Pay: $85,000 - $105,000(based on experience, education, and skillset).\n10%Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual performance and company metrics).\nDay 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), HSA company contributions, and FSA options.\nBenefits after 90 days: 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, and other optional plans.\n15 days of PTO (with 1 additional day per year of service), 9 public holidays, and 2 flexible holidays.\n$50 monthly reimbursement for health, wellness, or fitness-related memberships and equipment.\nJob Location:\n55 E Monroe Street\nSuite 2900\nChicago, IL 60603\nAs a company that values diversity as a source of talent, we work to foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect, belonging and engagement so that all people can participate on an equal opportunity basis.
