If you're ready to make a meaningful impact and advance your career with a global infrastructure leader, we encourage you to apply and grow with us.\nThe Civil/Systems Interface Specialist is responsible for coordinating, managing, and resolving interfaces between rail systems, civil infrastructure, utility providers, municipalities, external stakeholders, and third-party infrastructure owners. The role ensures that interface requirements are identified, documented, coordinated, and successfully integrated throughout the design, construction, testing, and commissioning phases of the project.\nJob Description\nCoordination and Supervision of Interface Deliverables\nSupervise, review, and control interface deliverables produced by designers, contractors, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders.\n\nLead and coordinate interface meetings involving systems, civil, architectural, utility, municipal, and third-party infrastructure representatives.\n\nMonitor interface activities and ensure interface deliverables are submitted in accordance with project schedules.\n\nReview interface documentation for completeness, safety, reliability, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.\n\nInterface Coordination and Integration\nCoordinate interfaces between systems disciplines and civil works including stations, guideways, tunnels, structures, utility corridors, and roadway infrastructure.\n\nReview conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs to ensure interface requirements are properly incorporated.\n\nFacilitate resolution of design conflicts between systems and civil disciplines.\n\nMaintain interface registers, interface agreements, and action tracking logs.\n\nCoordinate technical requirements and interface resolutions with municipalities, utility companies, agencies, and third-party asset owners.\n\nReview and Approval Process\nManage, track, and close interface review comments in coordination with project stakeholders and the Contracting Authority.\n\nCoordinate the review and acceptance of interface management documentation.\n\nSupport design review processes and ensure interface requirements are addressed prior to design approvals.\n\nReporting Preparation\nPrepare regular interface status reports and presentations.\n\nCommunicate interface risks, decisions, actions, and resolution status to project leadership.\n\nMaintain records of interface meetings, technical decisions, and stakeholder agreements.\n\nRisk Management\nIdentify interface-related risks and opportunitiesand coordinate mitigation strategies with project teams and risk management personnel.\n\nscalate unresolved interface issues that may impact scope, schedule, cost, safety, or operational performance.\n\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nExperience\n3-5 years of experience insystems integrationandinterface managementontransportation, railway,ortransit projects.\n\nExperience coordinating multidisciplinary design and construction activities oncomplex projects(LRT experience is a strong asset).\n\nEducation:\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Systems Engineering,Construction Management, or a related discipline.\n\nRequired Skills/Knowledge:\nStrong knowledge of systems engineering, interface management, requirements management, and configuration management.\n\nUnderstanding of railway systems and civil infrastructure integration.\n\nKnowledge of design review processes and interdisciplinary coordination.\n\nExperience maintaining interface registers and tracking interface actions.\n\nFamiliarity with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS or DOORS NG.\n\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\n\nFamiliarity with CAD and Bluebeam.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.\n\nStrong communication and facilitation abilities.\n\nAbility to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment.\n\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.\n\nEffective conflict resolution and negotiation skills.\n\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Canada, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 seal, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
