By effectively managing contracts and related activities, Commercial Coordinator contributes to the successful execution and delivery of the project within established parameters and objectives.\nOversee and manage all contractual agreements between the project owner, stakeholders, and various contractors involved in the project.\nIdentify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, including potential liabilities, obligations, and exposures that may impact project outcomes.\nSupervise and carry out the administration of contracts throughout the project lifecycle, including monitoring contract performance, tracking milestones, and managing deliverables.\nCoordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution of contractual obligations and adherence to project schedules.\nEnsure that contracts are accurately drafted, reviewed, and executed in accordance with project requirements and legal standards.\nEnsure compliance with contractual terms, legal requirements, and regulatory standards applicable to the construction industry. Maintain a comprehensive database of contracts including key terms, expiration dates and renewal options.\nPrepare, review, and issue formal correspondence, including notices, requests, and responses, to stakeholders, contractors, and clients in compliance with contract requirements, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with project objectives and timelines.\nProcess and manage change orders, variations, and amendments to existing contracts as necessary.\nReview proposed changes, assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget, and negotiate terms and conditions with relevant parties.\nHandle contract-related claims, disputes, and conflicts that may arise during the project lifecycle.\nWork closely with legal counsel, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve disputes in a timely and amicable manner, minimizing disruption to project progress.\nMaintain accurate and comprehensive records of all contractual documents, correspondence, and communications related to the project.\nOrganize contract files, amendments, and other documentation in a structured manner for easy retrieval and reference.\nServe as the primary point of contact for contractual matters, liaising between project stakeholders, contractors, and legal advisors as needed.\nFacilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on contract terms and project objectives.\nImplement best practices, standard operating procedures, and tools to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in contract administration.\nSupport the Contracts Manager with any other daily commercial/contractual activities as needed.\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nThis role requires a strong sense of accountability, exceptional attention to detail, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing in commercial/contract departments within the construction industry.\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, law, or a related field.\n3 to 7 years of experience in a commercial or administrative role within the construction industry, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and familiarity with project management or contract management software is an asset.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft, review, and oversee formal project correspondence effectively.\nProven ability to lead and collaborate in diverse, cross-functional teams within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.\nSkilled in prioritizing tasks, managing multiple assignments, and maintaining attention to detail under pressure.\nDemonstrated ability to identify complex issues, perform detailed analysis, and recommend and implement effective solutions.\nProactive, self-managing, solution-oriented, highly organized, and adaptable to evolving project needs.\nStrong knowledge of contract management principles, financial considerations, and risk assessment methodologies.\nThis role offers an annual base salary in the anticipated range of $90,000-$120,000 CAD, with compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.\nIn addition to base salary, this role includes a total rewards package that supports employee well-being, development, and long-term growth, subject to company policies and applicable provincial employment standards, including:\nPaid vacation and sick leave\n\nGroup benefits and EFAP from your start date, with premiums paid by ACCIONA\n\nHealth Spending Account\n\nLearning, development, and internal career opportunities\n\nRRSP matching\n\nPerformance-based discretionary bonus\n\nShare purchase program\n\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Canada, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 seal, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
