This role involves monitoring financial data, preparing detailed reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making and cost efficiency. Strong logical and critical thinking, the ability to identify key issues, prioritize under tight deadlines, and excellent problem-solving skills are essential to success in this role.\nCost Analysis\nAnalyze project costs and expenses to ensure accurate cost allocation.\nIdentify cost trends and variances.\nConduct thorough variance analysis to highlight discrepancies between planned and actual costs.\nBudget Management\nAssist in the development and management of project forecasts.\nMonitor budget performance and report on variances.\nSupport project managers in forecasting project costs and updating budgets.\nFinancial Reporting\nPrepare detailed cost structure reports and statements, including variance analyses.\nSupport the improvement of existing and development of new cost reporting systems.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date cost structure records.\nEnsure data integrity and accuracy in all financial systems and reports.\nData Management\nCheck and organize data arrays.\nUtilize financial software and tools to analyze and report on cost data\nCost Tracking\nTrack and record all project expenses and costs.\nEnsure costs are allocated correctly and in accordance with company policies and procedures.\nMonitor and report on project progress and cost performance.\nCompliance and Auditing\nEnsure compliance with financial regulations, contracts, and company policies.\nParticipate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.\nCollaboration and Communication\nCollaborate with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.\nProcess Improvement\nIdentify opportunities for improving cost analysis processes and systems.\nImplement best practices for cost management and control.\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nBA in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Progression towards CPA is an asset.\nFive years of proven experience as a Cost Analyst, Financial Analyst, or in a similar role.\nExperience in project management or construction industries is a plus.\nStrong analytical and numerical skills.\nProficiency in financial software and MS Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nKnowledge of financial regulations and compliance.\nHighly developed ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions.\nStrong self-starter with the ability to prioritize under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.\nFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs, with the ability to work in a hectic.\nenvironment, under tight deadlines, and manage a high workload efficiently.\nHigh ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting and management.\nAbility to identify the most important issues and prioritize accordingly.\nWe are committed to creating an accessible and barrier-free recruitment process and workplace.
