Joining now means getting in early on a program of state-wide significance - high-profile, high-impact work that offers strong career development and the chance to build expertise on one of WA's most important infrastructure projects.\nAbout the Opportunity\nAs Design Manager, Transmission, you'll lead the planning, coordination and delivery of transmission line and substation designs across HV and MV infrastructure. You'll oversee design inputs and outputs from inception through delivery, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering, construction and client teams. The role covers overhead lines, underground cables, structures, and protection and control systems, and gives you the mandate to drive technical consistency, manage risk, and shape how design solutions perform across the project.\nKey Accountabilities\nLead transmission line and substation design from concept to detail\nManage design interfaces across HV and MV infrastructure\nDrive constructability, systems integration and technical governance\nOversee cost, schedule, design change and risk using CPI, SPI and EVM\nLead SiD, HAZID/HAZOP and CoM reviews and deliverables\nMentor junior engineers and build internal design capability\nManage external consultants and cross-functional communication\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering\n10+ years leading HV transmission (220kV+) design, concept to detail\nStrong knowledge of IEC, IEEE and AS/NZS standards\nAbility to complete a successful pre-employment medical and National Crime check.\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
