This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations by maintaining electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. All work is performed in accordance with company policies, safety requirements, and the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA).Job Description\nMechanical Maintenance\nTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, valves, and compressors. \nPerform precision mechanical repairs such as shaft alignment, bearing replacement, lubrication, and component rebuilds. \nSupport mechanical installation, modification, and upgrade of production equipment. \nElectrical Maintenance\nTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, starters, relays, sensors, switches, and control panels. \nPerform basic electrical diagnostics on AC/DC systems and low-voltage controls. \nRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. \nAssist with PLC inputs/outputs, instrumentation, and basic control troubleshooting (as qualified and assigned). \nEnsure electrical work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations. \nPlumbing & Facility Maintenance\nPerform maintenance and repair of facility plumbing systems including water lines, drains, fixtures, valves, pumps, and compressed air systems. \nTroubleshoot leaks, clogs, pressure issues, and piping failures. \nAssist with installation and maintenance of facility utilities and infrastructure. \nPreventive Maintenance\nExecute scheduled preventive maintenance activities on production equipment and facility systems. \nInspect equipment for wear, damage, and failure risks; recommend corrective actions. \nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with preventive maintenance schedules and procedures. \nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all plant safety rules, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and PPE requirements. \nPerform work in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. \nMaintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas. \nDocumentation & Reporting\nComplete work orders, maintenance logs, inspections, and reports accurately and timely using CMMS or manual systems. \nDocument repairs performed, parts used, labor hours, and equipment condition. \nUnion Environment Responsibilities\nPerform all duties in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA), job classifications, work rules, and seniority provisions. \nFollow established procedures for work assignments, shift schedules, overtime, and call-ins. \nWork collaboratively with union coworkers, supervisors, and leadership to support plant operations. \nOther Duties\nAssist with shutdowns, changeovers, and special maintenance projects. \nPerform additional tasks as assigned in support of production and maintenance operations. \nMission: Independently perform basic operating tasks in his/her unit/department, in keeping with the instructions provided by his/her supervisor, in order to satisfy the project’s needs. They are responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
