The plant converts up to 460,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste each year into 38 megawatts of baseload renewable electricity, enough to power more than 55,000 homes, while recovering valuable metals for reuse.\nAbout Opportunity\nReporting to the O&M Manager (SPV), the Engineering & Maintenance Manager leads the Engineering team at Kwinana Energy Recovery and deputises for the O&M Manager when required. You will drive safe, efficient and compliant performance across a 24-hour shift operation, overseeing asset management, maintenance delivery and contractor control. The role also builds strong working relationships across site to keep operations running smoothly and objectives on track.\nKey accountabilities:\nLead high-performing teams, build engineering team capability and a performance-driven, plant availability-focused culture, including mentoring and resourcing.\nDrive safety culture implementing safe working systems and embed Acciona's Quality, Safety and Environmental objectives across Operations.\nOwn asset & maintenance delivery leading maintenance activities to completion on time, and develop strategic plans for facility availability with Engineers.\nManage contracts & contractors, control contractor work areas and ensure sites meet all contractual/performance obligations.\nReport on performance, prepare submissions, reports, and KPIs\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nDegree in Engineering or equivalent\n10+ years industry experience\nExperience leading large, diverse project teams\nStrong to advanced Excel skills\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
