Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and significant improvements to the corridor. Construction began in late 2022, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the flow of fuel, equipment, materials, and support services across the SR400 Express Lanes corridor. This role oversees fuel receiving and dispatching, equipment transport and mobilization, rental inspections, fuel and equipment location tracking, and mechanic support. The Logistics Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between field operations and outside suppliers and plays a critical role in keeping equipment fueled, properly positioned, and operational across an active, multi-segment construction corridor.\nJob Description\nFuel Receiving & Dispatching\nVerify delivered fuel quantities against supplier bills of lading and confirm fuel grade/type before offloading.\n\nInspect deliveries for contamination and log tank levels pre- and post-delivery to identify discrepancies.\n\nSet and monitor reorder thresholds to prevent fuel shortages; reconcile draws against equipment utilization.\n\nMaintain accurate records of fuel condition, quality checks, and tank/unit levels by location.\n\nMaintain a current location record for all fuel assets and mobile equipment across the corridor.\n\nTrack fuel transactions for all slip tanks and project fuel trucks.\n\nEquipment Transport & Mobilization\nSchedule low-boy, and flatbeds transport equipment and material, coordinate DOT permits if needed\n\nSequence mobilization and demobilization of equipment between work segments to align with the phasing schedule and minimize idle rental/ownership days.\n\nMaintain a live mobilization tracker (unit, origin, destination, date,etc).\n\nEquipment Tracking and Inspections\nConduct and document rental start inspections, including photos, hour-meter readings, fuel level, safety equipment, and rental company sign-off. Label equipment upon delivery and confirm the serial number against the purchase order.\n\nConduct matching inspections at rental return; document new damage, final hour meter, and fuel level to prevent disputed billing.\n\nCheck equipment needs at other project locations before calling off rentals to optimize utilization and control costs.\n\nTrack the usage and locationfor ownedequipmenton a daily basisfor end of month billing.\n\nMonitor the operator inspections log, and identify service priorities\n\nMechanic Support (Internal & External)\nCoordinate parts, fuel, and equipment access to support internal mechanics and minimize repair downtime.\n\nCoordinate site access and safety orientation for external repair vendors; verify scope, rates, and completed work against POs before approving invoices.\n\nOperations-Supplier Liaison\nServe as the primary point of contact between field operations and fuel, rental, and parts suppliers.\n\nTranslate field urgency into supplier action (expedited deliveries, emergency parts, rental swaps).\n\nDocument and escalate recurring supplier performance issues to procurement; relay field schedule changes to suppliers proactively.\n\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n\n4+ years of experience in fleet, equipment, or administrative support, preferably in construction.\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\n\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\n\nIntermediate level of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).\n\nValid driver's license.\n\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in US, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 seal, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
