Engineering, land access, environment and construction all draw on the same geospatial information. This role sits in the project office in Metro Melbourne and keeps that information reliable, traceable and ready for decisions. It also supports approvals and risk management.\nAbout the Opportunity\nYou will report to the Lead, Digital Engineering and manage the project’s GIS datasets. Your maps and analysis will guide engineering, landholder liaison, environment, construction and project controls teams. You will connect survey, design and environmental data, produce clear outputs for technical and non-technical audiences, and improve GIS processes through automation. You will also feed spatial inputs into monthly reporting and prepare data for asset handover. The role gives you a view of a transmission project across every discipline and from planning through to handover.\nKey accountabilities for the position will be:\nManage project GIS datasets, keeping data accurate, consistent and version controlled\nProduce maps and spatial analysis for project teams and stakeholder engagement\nSupport landholder liaison and property access planning with spatial mapping\nAlign GIS data with project information systems and the common data environment\nIdentify spatial risks and support compliance with approvals and environmental conditions\nContribute GIS inputs to monthly reports, audits and asset handover\nImprove GIS processes and data quality, and advise multidisciplinary project teams\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nTertiary qualification in GIS, geospatial, planning or surveying\nExperience with ArcGIS, QGIS and ArcGIS Online or equivalent\nData governance and metadata skills with clear communication\nAbility to automate workflows with FME, Python or Arcade\nDesirable: linear infrastructure and asset handover experience\nLocation and conditions\nThis is a regional role and includes the provision to be based at camp as required.\nWhy join us?\nAt ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
