This role involves ensuring that all guideway construction projects are completed on time, and to safety and quality standards.\nSupport the Superintendent in overseeing on-site construction activities for the elevated guideway.\nAssist in maintaining project progress in accordance with the project schedule.\nCollaborate in the scheduling and coordination of supply chains and sub-contractors.\nAssist in directing and supervising sub-contracted crews for guideway foundations, substructure, and superstructure.\nEnsure that all work is completed in accordance with relevant standards, specifications, and codes.\nSupport the Superintendent in overseeing the erection of concrete and steel structures, including scheduling, coordinating with other construction segments, and planning on-site deliveries.\nAssist in managing procedures related to erection and lifting, ensuring all operations are conducted safely and efficiently.\nMaintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, inspection reports, and safety documentation\nComplete regular site safety inspections and align with the project Health and Safety management policies.\n Perform other related duties as assigned, promoting a positive team environment and a culture of collaboration.\nWork Conditions\n Must possess a valid Ontario Driving license G or G2.\nAble to perform in a fast-paced environment, under different weather and environmental conditions.\nMay require working extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet project deadlines.\nMust hold all relevant safety and supervisor training certifications.\nRequired Skills and Competencies\n3 - 5 years of experience as an assistant superintendent or related role with experience in large infrastructure project preferred.\nPreferred Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management. Relevant experience may offset educational requirements.\nKnowledge of bridge/structural construction including specifications, codes and standards.\nExperience with subway/light rail projects, including delivery, and handover of elevated guideway/ bridge assets.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.\nAbility to communicate effectively with diverse teams.\nPreferred experience with infrastructure construction within a complex urban area.\nThis role offers an annual base salary in the anticipated range of $90,000-$120,000 CAD, with compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.\nIn addition to base salary, this role includes a total rewards package that supports employee well-being, development, and long-term growth, subject to company policies and applicable provincial employment standards, including:\nPaid vacation and sick leave\nGroup benefits and EFAP from your start date, with premiums paid by ACCIONA\nHealth Spending Account\nLearning, development, and internal career opportunities\nRRSP matching\nPerformance-based discretionary bonus\nShare purchase program\nWe are committed to creating an accessible and barrier-free recruitment process and workplace.
