ACCIONA Energía is governed by the most demanding environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria.\nWe are currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused High Voltage (HV) Technician to join the team at MacIntyre Wind Farm, one of Australia's largest renewable energy projects. Reporting to the Works Supervisor, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the operation and maintenance of critical renewable energy infrastructure while supporting Australia's transition to a sustainable energy future.Job Description\nThe HV Technician is responsible for undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance across the wind farm's Balance of Plant (BOP) infrastructure, including substations, high-voltage reticulation, communication networks, auxiliary systems, site services, roads, and civil infrastructure. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team, ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of the facility.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform preventative and corrective maintenance activities across BOP assets.\nConduct HV and substation inspections, maintenance, repairs, and testing.\nCarry out HV switching operations and system manoeuvres.\nSupport inspections, maintenance, and repair of roads, drainage, and civil infrastructure.\nUndertake wind turbine inspections and minor maintenance works as required.\nMonitor and supervise contractors to ensure work is completed safely and to the required standards.\nMaintain accurate records within maintenance and HSEQ management systems, including Maximo.\nParticipate in shutdown planning, project activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nContribute to a strong safety, environmental, and quality culture across the site.\nParticipate in an on-call roster supporting a 24/7 operational facility\nIn compliance with Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018, this role is defined as a critical worker and labelled at ACCIONA Energia as a Privileged Access Worker (PAW) and must comply with all associated responsibilities. \nRequired Skills and Competencies\nElectrical trade qualification.\nMinimum 3-5 years of post-trade experience.\nQLD \"A Grade\" Electrical Licence, or the ability to obtain one, is highly regarded.\nExperience working with HV systems, substations, industrial facilities, or power generation assets.\nCurrent manual driver's licence.\nStrong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.\nDemonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.\nAbility to travel to other renewable energy sites as required.\nCurrent qualifications, or the ability to obtain:First Aid Level 2\nWorking at Heights\nHV Operator accreditation under ACCIONA Energía's Work Permitting System.\n\nAs a company that values diversity as a source of talent, we work to foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect, belonging and engagement so that all people can participate on an equal opportunity basis.
