Works include doubling rail tracks from two to four between Kuraby and Beenleigh, station upgrades and level crossing removals. This landmark project will boost network capacity and help prepare Queensland for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.\nAbout the Opportunity\nAs First Nations Engagement Lead, you will implement the Indigenous Engagement Strategy for the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project, reporting to the Communications & Engagement Manager. You will build and maintain meaningful relationships with local Indigenous communities, Elders and organisations, ensuring adherence to Native Title Laws, Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Indigenous Participation Plans. You will drive workforce and business participation goals for Indigenous inclusion, facilitate procurement opportunities for Indigenous-owned businesses, and act as primary liaison between Indigenous groups and the project team, guiding the broader Environment and Construction teams on cultural sensitivities and engagement practice.\nKey accountabilities for the position will be:\nImplement the Indigenous Engagement Strategy across the project\nBuild and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and Elders\nEnsure adherence to Native Title Laws and Cultural Heritage Management Plans\nAchieve workforce and business participation goals for Indigenous inclusion\nFacilitate contracts and procurement opportunities for Indigenous businesses\nMonitor, evaluate and report on engagement performance metrics\nAdvise project teams on cultural sensitivities and heritage matters\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nWhat capability and experience will you need to have:\nDegree or post-graduate qualification in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Indigenous Studies or related field (desirable)\nExtensive experience in Indigenous employment, training and community engagement\nExperience in social procurement and supplier diversity\nExperience implementing Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Indigenous Participation Plans\nDemonstrated experience working with Indigenous communities and stakeholders\nAt ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
