This work supports the future Submarine Construction Yard, one of the largest defence projects in Australian history. The works include civil construction such as drainage, excavation, pavements and concrete. This is a long-term project with strong pipeline of future work.\nAbout the Opportunity We need a Leading Hand to run our night shift civil crew on the ANI enabling works project. You will report to the Night Supervisor and lead a small team on site each night. This role covers a mix of civil works, including drainage, excavation, pavements, FRP and concrete. You will keep the crew safe, on schedule and working to a high standard.\nDue to Defence security requirements, applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.\nKey Accountabilities\nLead and direct a crew on site\nAllocate daily tasks to crew members\nCheck work meets quality and safety standards\nMonitor plant, equipment and materials on site\nReport hazards and stop unsafe work\nSupport new workers with on-the-job guidance\nKeep the Night Supervisor updated on progress\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nExperience in civil construction (drainage, excavation, pavements, concrete)\nCert IV in Work Health & Safety\nExperience leading a small crew\nWhite Card (construction induction)\nCurrent driver's licence\nComfortable working night shift\nAt ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
