Currently involved in some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates.www.acciona.ca\nJob Description\nThe Lockout/Tagout & Systems Interface Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and planning all lockout/tagout (LOTO) activities associated with the commissioning and energization of electrical systems within the project scope (600V and below).\nAll LOTO implementation remains the responsibility of the Electrical Subcontractor. The Coordinator's responsibility is to ensure that LOTO activities are properly planned, communicated, documented, and executed in compliance with approved procedures.\nThe Coordinator will also serve as the primary interface between the Electrical Team and System Partners whose equipment is supplied from electrical panels delivered under the electrical subcontract. In addition, the Coordinator will manage permits, access requirements, and isolation requests involving System Partners or BC hydro responsible to feed our 600V panels.\nKey Responsibilities\nLOTO Coordination and Oversight\nAct as the project focal point for all LOTO planning activities.\nReview and verify that all Subcontractor are following approved LOTO procedures.\nCoordinate preparation and review of LOTO packages, switching plans, and isolation requests.\nEnsure required permits, approvals, and notifications are obtained before planned isolations.\nMaintain records of active and completed LOTO activities.\nMonitor compliance with project and site safety requirements.\nIdentify and escalate potential conflicts, risks, or non-conformances related to isolations.\nWeekly Planning and Scheduling\nDevelop and maintain a rolling LOTO schedule.\nChair or coordinate weekly LOTO planning meetings with:Electrical Subcontractor\nSystem Partners\nConstruction teams\nCommissioning teams\nOperations representatives as required\n\nEnsure upcoming isolation requirements are identified sufficiently in advance.\nCoordinate outage windows and work sequencing to minimize impacts to construction and testing activities.\nPublish weekly and look-ahead LOTO plans.\nSystems Partner Interface\nAct as the primary point of contact between the Electrical Team and System Partners whose equipment is fed from project electrical distribution systems.\nCoordinate energization readiness, testing requirements, and isolation requests impacting System Partner equipment.\nFacilitate communication regarding access requirements, commissioning activities, and outages.\nTrack system dependencies and impacts associated with power availability.\nPermit and Access Coordination\nCoordinate permits required for work involving interfaces with System Partners.\nManage isolation requests requiring coordination with the 25 kV System Partner.\nEnsure all parties are informed of planned outages, energizations, and system status changes.\nSupport access planning where electrical or system permits are required.\nCommissioning Support\nSupport testing and commissioning activities requiring temporary or permanent electrical isolations.\nCoordinate energization plans and ensure affected stakeholders are informed.\nParticipate in commissioning meetings and readiness reviews.\nTrack action items related to electrical interfaces and system handovers.\nThis role offers an annual base salary in the anticipated range of $98,000-125,00 CAD, with compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.\nIn addition to base salary, this role includes a total rewards package that supports employee well-being, development, and long-term growth, subject to company policies and applicable provincial employment standards, including:\nPaid vacation and sick leave\nGroup benefits and EFAP from your start date, with premiums paid by ACCIONA\nHealth Spending Account\nLearning, development, and internal career opportunities\nRRSP matching\nPerformance-based discretionary bonus\nShare purchase program\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nDiploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\nExperience on large infrastructure, rail/transit, industrial, or power projects.\nWorking knowledge of electrical distribution systems up to 600V.\nStrong understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) principles and electrical safety practices.\nExperience coordinating multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.\nStrong planning, scheduling, and communication skills.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.\nExperience with rail/transit projects.\nExperience supporting testing and commissioning activities.\nFamiliarity with permit-to-work systems and electrical switching procedures.\nKnowledge of interface management between electrical and systems contractors.\nKnowledge of high-voltage work coordination and utility interfaces.\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Canada, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 seal, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
