Based at the Waubra Wind Farm, this specialist role supports major corrective maintenance and component lifecycle management across our wind farm portfolio in Victoria and NSW.This is an opportunity to become one of our technical experts, sharing knowledge across sites, supporting technicians and helping maintain the reliability of some of Australia's largest renewable energy assets.\nAs a member of a multi-skilled team, you'll spend your time both supporting your home site (Waubra Wind Farm) and travelling to other wind farms where specialist expertise is required. The regular hours are Monday-Friday days, with overtime occasionally associated with major maintenance programs and participation in an on-call roster on an occasional basis.\nJob Description\nWhilst you actively engage in ACCIONA’s Health & Safety practices, take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe and secure workplace, and support the people around you in upholding these standards, you will be involved in:\nMajor component inspections, repairs and replacements\nGearbox, main shaft and drivetrain assessments\nEndoscope and videoscope inspections\nBlade inspections and structural health monitoring\nUp-tower repairs and corrective maintenance activities\nManaging major component change-outs alongside specialist contractors and crane providers\nSupporting planned shutdowns and large corrective maintenance campaigns\nTraining and mentoring wind farm technicians\nSharing technical expertise and best practice across multiple ACCIONA sites\nSupporting ongoing reliability improvement initiatives\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nMechanical trade qualifications (Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter or similar)\nExperience in wind energy will be highly regarded whilst heavy industry, mining, power generation or similar experience will be considered\nExperience with major component maintenance and repairs and strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills\nWorking at Heights, First Aid and GWO certifications (or willingness to obtain)\nSomeone willingly supports others, shares expertise, and contributes to a positive, respectful and healthy team culture \nStrong safety focus and commitment to quality\nAbility to work independently and travel between sites when required\nA current driver's license \nIn compliance with Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018, this role is defined as critical worker and labelled at ACCIONA Energia as a Privileged Access Worker (PAW).
