This role ensures the successful execution of design, procurement, installation, testing & commissioning, and system integration, leading to project completion and operational readiness.\nJob Description\nWork Package Management\nLead and manage all OCS-TPSS activities across the full project lifecycle:\nEngineering design\n\nReview design constructability\n\nEstimation takeoff quantities\n\nProcurement and manufacturing\n\nInstallation and construction\n\nTesting & commissioning (T&C)\n\nEnergization and service demonstration\n\nEnsure delivery meets schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.\n\nTechnical Leadership\nSupervise and coordinate engineering design teams (OCS and TPSS disciplines).\n\nEnsure designs comply with:\nRailway standards (e.g., EN, AREMA, IEC)\n\nSafety and regulatory requirements\n\nValidate technical solutions and resolve design issues.\n\nSupplier & Contractor Management\nManage OCS and TPSS contractors and equipment suppliers.\n\nMonitor supplier performance, deliverables, and contractual compliance.\n\nReview and approve technical documentation and deliverables.\n\nInterface Management\nCoordinate interfaces with:\nCivil works (structures, bridges, tunnels)\n\nTrack systems\n\nSignaling systems\n\nSCADA and communications systems\n\nEnsure integration of OCS-TPSS within the overall railway system.\n\nInstallation & Construction Oversight\nOversee on-site installation activities:\nOCS structures, wiring, tensioning\n\nSubstations, switchgear, transformers, feeders\n\nEnsure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.\n\nTesting & Commissioning\nSupervise and participate in:\nFactory Acceptance Tests (FAT)\n\nSite Acceptance Tests (SAT)\n\nEnergization and functional testing\n\nValidate test results and ensure compliance with specifications.\n\nSupport trial running and service readiness.\n\nStakeholder Coordination\nAct as the main point of contact for:\nClient representatives (e.g., transit authority)\n\nEngineering consultants\n\nThird-party stakeholders\n\nEnsure alignment and timely resolution of issues.\n\nReporting & Documentation\nPrepare and maintain:\nProject schedules and progress updates\n\nMonthly reports\n\nRisk and issue logs\n\nCertification and handover documentation\n\nManage system certification and final acceptance process.\n\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field (Master’s is an asset).\n\nExperience\n7-10 years of experience in railway electrification systems (OCS and TPSS).\n\nProven experience in railway, metro, or LRT infrastructure projects.\n\nMinimum 3-5 years in a project management or leadership role.\n\nTechnical Expertise\nStrong knowledge of:\nOverhead Catenary Systems (OCS) design and installation\n\nTraction Power Systems (TPSS), including substations, transformers, rectifiers, switchgear\n\nFamiliarity with:\nPower supply and distribution systems\n\nSCADA integration\n\nEarthing and bonding systems\n\nEMC/EMI considerations\n\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong leadership and team management abilities\n\nExcellent coordination and interface management skills\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities\n\nEffective communication and stakeholder engagement skills\n\nAbility to manage complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects\n\nCertifications (Preferred)\nPMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent\n\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation (or eligibility)\n\nHealth & Safety certifications relevant to rail or construction\n\nACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Canada, as well as the Top Employers North America 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 seal, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
